FROM www.examiner.com
Actor Nathan Kress, who plays Freddie Benson on Nickelodeon's iCarly, visited the Electric City on Dec. 5. He came for a Meet and Greet in Scranton's Mall at Steamtown.

Kress was excited to come to Scranton. "It's a definite change of pace", said Kress,"I hope to meet some really cool people. So far, the people here have been really awesome."

Kress stayed at the Radisson Hotel in Scranton the night before. He started his visit in Scranton in the Oppenheim Building. In the first floor, children and teen I-Carly fans brought their items such as clothing for Kress to sign his autograph on. The fans also got to be in a 2-3 minute film with Nathan Kress called iCarly Vidcast. In the Vidcast, kids introduce themselves and talked to Kress about iCarly. The iCarly Vidcast was later shown on 97 BHT, PA HomePage, and the Mall at Steamtown.

Then, Nathan Kress went across the street to the Mall at Steamtown's for the Meet and Greet. A line of fans awaited to meet Kress for his autograph and photos with him. The line went from Center Court all the way down to The Bon Ton. Ralphie from the Ralphie Radio Show on 97 BHT and WBRE meteorologist Kristi Capel introduced him to the audience in Center Court. Screaming fans welcomed Kress as he walked into Center Court.

Kress signed one autograph per person on the tickets given by the mall. Kids and teens were also able to get their photos taken by either their parents or by a photographer. Some fans gave gifts to Kress, who accepted them with a smile.

On one side of Center Court, the mall's event staff sold iCarly T-shirts and Scranton bags. On the other side of the court, raffle tickets for iCarly DVD's and breakfast for four at Bentley's in Ashley, PA. Proceeds benefited the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the Light the Night Walk.

Kress did the Meet and Greet until 3:30pm. Afterwards, he left Scranton to go back to LA to start filming for Season 4 of iCarly. "I wish that I could stay longer," said Kress. The fans were happy to have such a friendly actor come to Scranton for a day.
